This dossier examines the gaps in retirement levels between men and women due to the lower presence of women in the labour market as well as the evolution of conjugal behaviour leading a growing number of them to live alone, although they are not widows. This dossier compares the ways explored by five European countries to correct the inequalities of the right to retirement between men and women.
