This resource presents data available for 86 countries on the prevalence of physical and sexual violence against women, forced sexual initiation and violence during pregnancy. The matrix refers to both the violence exercised by intimate and/or non-intimate partners endured throughout life and the prevalence in the last 12 months. The data are compiled from large national surveys (demographic and health surveys, surveys on violence against women, a WHO multi-country study, and so on).
