This summary comes from a study, based on two surveys, one on adults and another on youths (14 to 17). It seeks to compare their knowledge, attitudes and opinions about the values of equality by differentiating the men' s and women' s perspectives. The study thus examines the views about women' s rights in the private and public sphere in Algeria: the right to work, the right to run for election, the right to divorce, maintenance or removal of polygamy, family prohibitions and the choice of clothes, elimination of gender-based violence, and so on.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
