Women-Men History and Equality: Room for Improvement! Portrayal of Women in the New Secondary and CAP (Vocational Training) Textbooks in 2010

The study puts forward a summary of the portrayals of women in 11 history textbooks with the objective of seeingwhether the implementation of new history syllabuses contributes or not to the dissemination of women's history and social relations between genders. Through this analysis, the objective is also to highlight the textbooks that channel a culture of equality and refrain from showing stereotyped portrayals in issues such as the right to vote, the role of women in economic production or the scientific, artistic, cultural and religious fields.
