The report assesses the progress made in Arab countries since the states committed to achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 1990.It reviews the successes and development challenges faced by the Arab region following numerous political changes and examines their consequences for the MDGs. The report draws its conclusions from several sources, including the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and other international organizations collecting data on MDGs.
