The report reviews the measures taken to strengthen the role of women in society, in keeping with the Action Framework established by the Istanbul Ministerial Conference in 2006. Specifically, the report compiles the responses to the questionnaire voluntarily completed. It enables the evolution of the priorities to be followed in terms of gender equality as defined by the countries themselves and the progress achieved in terms of civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights.
