This document features the conclusions of the third Ministerial Conference on Strengthening the Role of Women in Society, held in Paris on 12 September 2013, following those of Marrakesh in 2009 and Istanbul in 2006. The ministers of the Union for the Mediterranean countries adopted a series of conclusions in three priority areas: women’ s participation in political, economic, civil and social life; the fight against all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls; and the change in attitude and behaviour to achieve gender equality.
