As in previous editions, this report examines laws and institutions that treat men and women differently, generally to the detriment of the latter. The 2014 report analyses the trends through different indicators: access to institutions, the use of land and property, employment, job incentives, access to credit, and access to and management of justice. The report also introduces a new pilot indicator on the protection of women against violence.
