The seminar will take place on the 18th of March at 18h CET at the European Institute of the Mediterranean, and will also be streamed.
As part of the Voix de femmes project (funded by the Anna Lindh Foundation), the IEMed is organizing a seminar to reflect on the different ways in which the diversity of the Mediterranean is communicated in terms of gender. The visualization and dialogue of the plurality which crosses this space - plurality which is deployed in various formats and languages - is fundamental to encourage the intercultural exchanges which constitute the bases of a more egalitarian Mediterranean.
The seminar “Communicating the intercultural dimension of the Mediterranean in terms of gender?” offers an interactive format and will set up dialogue initiatives that illustrate this unique Mediterranean diversity.
The seminar will be structured in two parts: “Intercultural art for gender equality” and “Tools to combat sexism and encourage intercultural works”.
Each part will begin with the contributions of two participants, contributions that will be followed by a debate with all the attendees.
The seminar will also feature the presentaiton of a meeting of women journalists and communicators from the Mediterranean within the framework of the 25th anniversary of the Barcelona Process, a proposal in line with the objectives of the "Voix de femmes" project.

The exhibition will open at the Espai Francesca Bonnemaison on March 18 and can be visited until April 6.
The inauguration will be streamed through the Facebook page of the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation.
