Our board member and director of the ‘’Culture and Civil Society’’ Department of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) who is one of our founding members, Maria Angels Roque, will talk about our field actions and contributions to advancing women’s rights across the Mediterranean, during a seminar entitled ‘’Feminisms in the south and the east of the Mediterranean: The fight of Civil Society in the Southern Mediterranean’’ scheduled for Wednesday 20th of November in Barcelona.
Salwa El Gharbi, jurist expert in diversity and elected member of the Catalan Parliament, will also participate in this seminar, and will talk about migrant women and feminist movements in Catalonia.
In her turn, Nour Salameh, a historian, will focus on recent feminist and women mobilization in the Arab world. The seminar is organized by the IEMed in collaboration with the ‘’Ateneu Barcelonès’’ who will host the event on 20 November at 19:00.
