Shashat Woman Cinema organizes in July 23rd its 11th Woman Film Festival in Palestine ’’I am Palestinian’’ which showcases ten films made by young Palestinian women filmmakers from the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. The films explore the personal dimension of belonging and identity focusing on diverse expressions of Palestinian women’s lives
"I am Palestinian" films forms part of the “Yalla nshouf film!” [Come, let’s see a movie!] project implemented by “Shashat Woman Cinema” in partnership with the “Society of Women Graduates” in the Gaza Strip and “Sunflower Association for the Protection of the Human Being and the Environment.” This three-year social-cultural project is funded in a major part by the European Union, with additional support by CFD a Swiss feminist peace organization and the Representative Office of the Republic of Poland to Palestine.
The festival which is open to public will be held in Gaza (Rashad Shawa Theater) and Ramallah (Municipal Theater / Municipal House).
