On April 26 and 27, 2019, the Sexual Health Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine of Casablanca in collaboration with the Moroccan Association of Reproductive Health, the Moroccan Association of Sexology and the University Centre of Education for Citizenship and Human Development, organizes a national symposium on sexual and reproductive health.

The symposium aims to:

• Explore the state of sexual education in Morocco and in the world and propose interventions for the education and the promotion of sexual and reproductive health including education on gender equality and respect for human rights in terms of sexual and reproductive health;
• Define the problem of unwanted pregnancies in Morocco and the needs of the population for contraception;
• Identify the gaps in sexual and reproductive health that cause the high prevalence of sexual diseases: STIs, HIV, cervical cancer and others;
• Promote sexual and reproductive health and provide guidance for a national strategy for the promotion of sexual and reproductive health that ensures access to sexual and reproductive health information; access to family planning services the availability of quality sexual and reproductive health services;
• Propose research and development topics related to sexual and reproductive health.
