As part of the inter-university programme “Aula Mediterrània” which aims to foster studies on the Mediterranean region from a wide perspective, the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) holds a conference led by the Moroccan journalist Fedwa Misk, founder and editor in chief of the collaborative women’s website Qandisha.
For Moroccan women Qandisha offers an alternative to traditional magazines informing about women’s interests and problematics, as well as being a platform for women to freely express themselves. The conference will be moderated by Xavier Giró, professor of Political Journalism, director of the Conflict Coverage Observatory (UAB) and co-director of the master Communication of Armed Conflicts, Peace and Social Movements (UAB).
