This Saturday, November 10, 2018 sexual harassment will be highlighted and reflected in street shows at the Marina of Bouregreg, in Rabat (Morocco). ‘’#Massaktach-Speak up" is a campaign aiming to raise Moroccans’ awareness on the issue of sexual harassment and the law against violence against women which was approved last September by the parliament.
Artistic activities such as circus shows, street theatre, folk music and photography in the public space are meant to claim a cross-cutting approach to gender-based violence in public policies. This show is organized by Oxfam and its partners: Women’s Right Leagues Federation, Aquaruim Theater and Mhashas Association as part of the ‘’BARAKA! Together against violence’’.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
