On July 6, 2018 at 6:30PM, we invite you to attend the conference-debate "Signs of life under bombing", organized by the City of Arenys de Munt (Spain). You will discover many examples of women who stand out for their resilience and activism in today’s Syria. Indeed, since the Syrian people rose to claim their freedom and dignity, they endured all kinds of suffering and loss. Regardless of individual political views, the population suffers unimaginable trauma and violence, yet it resists desperation as well as the indifference of the international community.
This conference will be moderated by Nour Salameh, a Syrian citizen and doctor in History from the University Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona. Salameh works as a project manager within the Gender Equality Program of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) and will present, among other things, the actions of the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation (FFEM) in support of civil society.
The event will be followed by an open-air concert by the band "Abdallah Ghbash", a group of Syrian musicians that are currently living in Germany.
We encourage you to discover these extraordinary seeds of resistance, courage and love that Syrians are sowing all along their path to peace and recovery. More information in the file below. Join us!
