UN Women meeting on women's access to leadership positions

On June 22, UN Women organizes a regional meeting under the theme "Women’s access to leadership positions: a major challenge for transforming governance and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals –SDGs-". The Foundation will participate to this meeting, which aims to strengthen the representation of women in public sector positions in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Jordan, and is held as a parallel event to the 2018 United Nations Public Service Forum (21-23 June).

The event, which will be attended by women representatives of our Foundation, is organized in partnership with the Moroccan Ministry of Reform of the Administration and Public Service, and the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations.

All the institutional partners of the project from Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia will be attending, including women civil servants who have benefited from the 3 cycles of leadership training, as well as the government officials from the 4 countries involved in the implementation of the project.

This meeting is scheduled as part of the UN Women’s project "Gender and Leadership - Promoting Women’s Access to Maghreb and Mashreq Governance", initiated in 2014 and part of the Priority Solidarity Fund (FSP). "Women of the future in the Mediterranean", financed by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

It should be noted that this event is only accessible to those who have registered before the 2018 United Nations Forum for Public Service. More information on the program in the attached document.
