14 years following the issuance of the Family Code, major problems contradicting the principle of equality and non-discrimination have emerged, which urgently calls for a new series of reforms guaranteeing real equality and protecting rights in accordance with the new constitution.
In this context, the Feminist Action Union is launching a national conference in presence of number of researchers and lawyers to discuss issues related to the family code and to come out with a memorandum containing recommendations for a global revision of the text.
The conference will take place on Saturday 24 February 2018 at the National Library in Rabat at 3:00 p.m under the slogan "For a family law that ensures adequacy and equality".
