The European Institute of the Mediterranean - IEMed hosts the event entitled “The Catalan society and the women’s promotion in the Mediterranean area” which will take place on 25th of January, 2017, at 18.30h at the quarter of the IEMed (Girona Street, 20. Barcelona).

This event will be an opportunity for public and private foundations and associations working to strengthen women’s role in Catalonia and the Mediterranean countries, to present their projects and share their experiences in order to achieve a better communication in the field of gender.

This event will include the presentation of the “Women in the Mediterranean’’ First monitoring report of the Ministerial Conferences of the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation. It will gather, among others, the director of the Women’s Catalan Institute, the Catalan goverment's Foreign Affairs and European Union's Secretary, the representative of the Association of Organisations of Mediterranean Businesswomen (AFAEMME) and many other organizations working in Catalonia and abroad.
