On the occasion of the International Day of Women's Rights, the Ibn Battuta Foundation, member of the Foundation, has chosen to pay tribute to women entrepreneurs of Moroccan origin who reside in Barcelona. The session will begin with an awards ceremony to Fatima Laghrib Velfarroll and Khadija Douja Yamani. It will be followed by a reflection on the importance of female entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), headquarter of the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation, and the coordinator of the monitoring report "Women in the Mediterranean. First monitoring report of the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation of Ministerial Conferences".
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
