The presentation of the First monitoring report is an initiative of the Foundation, in partnership with one of its founding members, the Centre of Arab Women for Training and Research - CAWTAR and the Research Centre for Studies, Documentation and Information on Women - CREDIF. This event will address an overview on women's participation in economic, social and political life, as well as on violence against women in Tunisia and in 11 other Mediterranean countries involved in the report. The event will be attended by several representatives of civil society organizations that contributed to the report and Samira Merai, Tunisian Minister of Women, Family and Childhood of Tunisia.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
