In the Ajuntament de Sant Boi de Llobregat you can now visit our photo exhibition "Dones trencant barreres. Transformant les ciutats mediterrànies" ("Women breaking barriers. Transforming Mediterranean cities") from 17 to 31 October. The exposition is organized by the City Council of Sant Boi de Llobregat with the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council (Deputació de Barcelona) in the framework of the initiative "Dones que Transformen". Its last stop was Igualada in the first half of October.
In 2017, a photo contest organized by the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation entitled "Powerful women: Breaking stereotypes in the Euro-Mediterranean region" took place and this special photo exhibition was created from the 10 best rated photos. It shares inspiring stories of hope and personal growth from women from Algeria, Belgium, Egypt, Israel, Morocco, Palestine and Turkey who are breaking with gender stereotypes in their communities. It tells of women who have the courage to bring change into their environment.
The next places where “Dones trencant barreres” can be visited in the coming months are in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda and Mataró!
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
