From October 1st to 2nd, 2022, the Andalusian Congress of Abolitionist Women will take place in Granada and online, organised by the Plataforma Andaluza de Mujeres Abolicionistas (PAMA).
On October 1, 1931, the Spanish courts approved universal suffrage, which included women’s suffrage. The ’Yes’ won by 161 votes to 121 and that day saw a fiery defense of women’s suffrage by Clara Campoamor.
In honor of them and the right to vote, the Andalusian Platform of Abolitionist Women is organizing the II Andalusian Congress of Abolitionist Women on October 1st and 2nd in Granada.
