Symposium – Tuesday, June 7, 2022 With Michelle PERROT, historian and honorary member of FDFA
There are many taboos around the emotional and sexual life of people with disabilities: the desire for children and motherhood are part of it. Being a woman, being in a unique situation, being a mother or wishing to be: so many parameters to take into consideration!
Femmes pour le Dire, Femmes pour Agir (FDFA) will invite experts (historian, doctors, geneticist, midwife, child nurse, psychomotrician, psychologist, members of relevant associations, parents, etc.) to discuss first the desire for a child, the role of those around you, and family and the place of the medical profession in supporting the parental project. Secondly, the discussions will focus on the arrival of a child predicted to be disabled and on parenthood through the prism of disability.
Accessibility of places and debates: translation in LSF, velotype, programs in enlarged characters, accompaniment by volunteers (to be specified when registering) Free admission – registration required here. The event will be also streamed online on Facebook Live.
