Join the next Climate Refugees Ecodebate

31.03.2022 / Created by (EMWF)

The French Federation of Clubs for UNESCO (FFCU) invites you to participate in the next ECODEBATE (WEBINAR) "Climate Refugees", which will be held this Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 6 p.m. sharp to 7:30 p.m.

Who are climate refugees? What is their legal status? How are they received and what means are in place for their reception? Without action, migratory tensions and xenophobic excesses in Europe already present could continue to grow. In addition to the wars in Libya and Syria, there is the war waged by Russia in Ukraine: the UN estimates that 4 million Ukrainian refugees will flee the war in their country.

Without action, our world could have 243 million climate refugees by 2050. Desertification and rising waters will push hundreds of millions of people onto the roads.
